Canary Yellow Opal (120-50) 2mm
Canary Yellow is a striking glass. Striking glasses are those which, when in their cold state, do not display their target color. They must be fired and held at 1225 degrees for a period of time before reaching that target color.
Color variations common from pastel to vibrant yellow. Lighter coloration matures and becomes consistent to target upon firing.
Contains sulfur and may react to copper bearing glasses. Slight reactive potential to lead bearing glass. This style can opalize and/or become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period. It may also opalize and/or become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the parameters of the test for compatibility. Testing recommended when heatwork exceeds these parameters.
